1. Introduction

OneListen (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a Windows application developed by Pacific Tapes. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.

2. What Data We Collect

a. No Personal Account Required:

You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to use OneListen.

b. Device and Usage Data:

The app may detect your country using your device's system region or, if unavailable, by making a request to a third-party IP geolocation service (ipapi.co).
Note: When using ipapi.co for country detection, the user's IP address is sent to that service for processing.

The app does not collect or store your name, email, or other personal identifiers.

c. Local Data Storage:

Your playlists, favorites, and music metadata are stored locally on your device using a local SQLite database. No user-generated content is uploaded to our servers.

d. Network Requests:

The app fetches radio station data, background images, Lottie animations, and advertisements from public APIs and static content servers. When you interact with ads or external links, your browser may open and your IP address may be visible to those external sites.

e. Ads:

Ads are loaded from a remote JSON endpoint and may be tailored by country, but no personal data is sent to the ad server. Clicking an ad opens the advertiser's website in your browser.

f. Analytics:

The app does not use analytics or telemetry tools. No usage statistics or crash reports are collected automatically.

3. How We Use Your Data

Country Detection: To provide region-appropriate radio stations and ads.
App Functionality: To store your playlists, favorites, and settings locally.
Ads: To display relevant ads based on your country.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data. The app does not upload your playlists, favorites, or listening history to any server. When you open external links, those third-party sites may collect data as per their own privacy policies.

5. Permissions

Internet Access: Required to fetch radio stations, images, Lottie animations, and ads.
Full Trust Capability: The app requests the runFullTrust capability to enable advanced Windows integration, but does not use this to access or transmit your personal files or data.

6. Third-Party Services

Radio APIs: Used to fetch radio station lists.
Image and Animation APIs: Used to fetch background images and Lottie animations.
Ad Server: Used to fetch and display ads.
IP Geolocation Service: Used to detect your country for content customization.

We do not control the privacy practices of these third-party services. Please review their privacy policies if you have concerns.

7. Children's Privacy

OneListen does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure. All sensitive data is stored locally and not transmitted.

9. In-App Purchases

The app offers an optional in-app purchase to remove ads. No personal information is required to make this purchase. All payments are processed securely through the Microsoft Store.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app or on our website.

We rely on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to process non-personal data for country detection and to deliver region-relevant content and ads. No personal data is collected or stored.
